Happen members in Mississauga got a treat this week thanks to a visit on Tuesday, Aug. 19 from Ross Macpherson of Career Quest. Ross presented his Awesome Strategies That Generate Job Offers workshop to a packed room in Mississauga City Hall. Ross always brings much energy and wisdom to his presentations and this morning's workshop was no exception. Ross talked about how to answer those tough interview questions including the interviewer's favourite ploy of asking: "So tell us a little about yourself." For most of us that's the hardest question of all to answer. Ross works with senior executives from across Canada helping them to make the transition to new work and the HAPPEN Mississauga, Ontario group was delighted with his three-hour workshop presentation.

On Wednesday, Aug. 20 the Burlingon HAPPEN group had their eyes and hearts open when Dick O'Brien gave his very popular workshop called "Personal Resiliency in Challenging Times".
Dick speaks hundreds of times annually across North America and HAPPEN is delighted he took sometime to visit with the Burlington group.
Dick speaks from his own experience and talks about what really matters in life. He's got great stories about other men and women overcoming adversity in their lives. His presentation is always one of the most highly rated workshops that HAPPENS offers and the Burlington group was fortunate to have spent a few hours in the presence of this gifted teacher and coach.

Tomorrow (Thursday, Aug. 21) the Toronto HAPPEN group is hearing from our own Jim Geraghty of TellSell Marketing Services. Jim's "The Magic of Market Letters" is one of our most popular workshops. A properly composed marketing letter can have up to a 30 per cent return over a simple resume and covering letter. It can create opportunities for the sender that others might miss. Jim's workshop are always well received and Jim goes out of his way to help members create their own powerful marketing letters.
